Is it cheaper to buy in Dubai?

On list price, yes. The UAE Apple Store charges AED 8,499 for the 256GB model, about ₹2,23,200 at the 7 October rate, roughly ₹76,700 less than in India. But under India's Baggage Rules 2026, a returning resident arriving by air can bring in goods worth ₹75,000 duty-free, and customs duty is charged on the value above that (Gulf News). That duty takes much of the saving, and you lose the Indian card offer, so check the current duty with CBIC before you buy abroad.
