Apple plans to introduce new MacBook Pro models with touchscreen OLED displays "on or around" Tuesday, October 27, 2026, Bloomberg reports. The same launch is expected to include an M6 14-inch MacBook Pro, an M6 iMac and an iPad mini with an OLED screen (MacRumors, citing Bloomberg). Apple has not announced anything for that date. Here is what has been reported, what it would mean for timing, and what the current models cost.

What is expected on October 27

ProductWhat Bloomberg reports
MacBook Pro, 14-inch and 16-inchOLED display with touch support, a Dynamic Island, lighter than today's models; M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, MacRumors reports
MacBook Pro 14-inch with M6A chip update to the entry-level model
iMac with M6A chip update
iPad miniOLED display, A20 Pro chip, a landscape front camera and redesigned speakers; could start near $799, up from $599 today (Bloomberg via MacRumors)

Earlier rumors suggested the OLED laptop could be called "MacBook Ultra", but Bloomberg places the 14-inch and 16-inch models in the MacBook Pro family. Bloomberg also says the launch will include "an online video presentation" and a hands-on session for the press (MacRumors). No MacBook Pro prices have been reported. Apple is also said to be holding sessions for content creators in Los Angeles on October 27 and 28 to show the new Macs and iPad mini (MacRumors).

What time could Apple announce them?

This is our estimate, not an announcement. On October 13 Apple announced HomeView, a new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini 2 by press release, alongside a press event in New York set for 9 a.m. Eastern (MacRumors). If October 27 follows the same slot, it would be:

CityTue, October 27
Los Angeles6:00 a.m.
New York9:00 a.m.
London1:00 p.m.
Paris, Berlin2:00 p.m.
Dubai5:00 p.m.
New Delhi6:30 p.m.
Singapore9:00 p.m.
Tokyo10:00 p.m.
Sydney12:00 a.m. (Wed)

The UK and Europe change their clocks on October 25, so these times are one hour earlier for them than in early October, while New York stays on daylight time until November 1.

When could you buy one?

Apple usually opens orders soon after an announcement and starts deliveries about a week later. With the current MacBook Pro, Apple announced it on March 3, 2026, took orders from March 4 and delivered from March 11 (Apple Newsroom). MacRumors expects the same for October 27: pre-orders could open that day, the new Macs will not ship until November, and a launch could follow as soon as November 6 (MacRumors). That is an expectation, not an Apple date.
