Apple's first foldable iPhone starts at $1,999 in the US. In Türkiye, the same 256GB phone costs the equivalent of about $4,700. We pulled the official iPhone Duo price from all 40 Apple online stores that sell it, converted every price into one currency and ranked them, so you can see where it is cheapest before preorders open on October 16.

US and Canadian prices do not include sales tax, which is added at checkout. Even at an 8% sales tax, the US price would be about $2,159, still the lowest in the table. Outside North America, the cheapest store is Hong Kong, followed by the UAE and Japan.

Prices are Apple's own list prices, checked on each Apple online store on September 27, 2026. Conversions use exchange rates from the same day, so they move a little every day. "vs US" compares with the US price before sales tax.
Why the same phone costs so much more in some countries
Apple does not explain its country prices, but three patterns stand out in the numbers.
1. Tax is already inside most prices
The US and Canadian stores show prices before sales tax, which depends on where you live. Most other stores show the final price with VAT or GST included. That alone explains a good part of the gap between the US and everyone else.
2. In Europe, the difference is almost all VAT
Take VAT out and every euro store charges between about €1,925 and €1,955 for the 256GB model. Luxembourg has the lowest standard VAT rate in the EU (17%), so it is the cheapest euro store at €2,261.68. Finland (25.5%) is the priciest euro store at €2,419, and Hungary, with the EU's highest rate at 27%, is the most expensive EU store overall at about $2,808. VAT rates: Tax Foundation.
3. A few markets pay far more
India (+56%), Brazil (+112%) and Türkiye (+135%) sit at the bottom of the table. Local import duties and taxes on phones are the usual explanation for gaps like these, though Apple does not publish a breakdown.

Deliveries and in-store sales start on Friday, October 23, except in the Philippines, where Apple lists October 30. Apple says 28 more countries and regions get the iPhone Duo on October 30, but has not listed them all yet.
Thinking of buying it abroad? Check these first
- It is eSIM only. Apple's spec pages for the US, UK, India, UAE, Japan, Hong Kong and China all list dual eSIM with no physical SIM slot. Your carrier at home must support eSIM.
- Check the bands. Apple sells different model numbers in different regions. Compare the 5G band list on the spec page of the country you buy in with what your carrier uses.
- Warranty service can cost more. Apple's warranty says service options vary by country, and if you seek service outside the country of purchase you may have to pay shipping, customs duties and taxes.
- Customs at home. A phone worth more than $2,000 is usually above duty-free allowances. Check your own country's customs rules before you count the savings.
- Tourist tax refunds. Some countries refund VAT to visitors when they leave. The rules and minimum amounts vary, so check the official scheme first.

₹2,99,900 for 256GB, ₹3,24,900 for 512GB, ₹3,74,900 for 1TB and ₹4,49,900 for 2TB on Apple's Indian store. That is about 56% more than the US price before tax.
Is the iPhone Duo cheaper in Dubai than in India?
Yes, on list price. The UAE Apple Store charges AED 8,499, which is about ₹2,21,900 at today's exchange rate, or roughly ₹78,000 less than the Indian price. Customs duty on bringing it home can eat into that.
How much is the iPhone Duo in the UK, Europe, Canada and Australia?

When can I preorder, and when does it ship?
