How to be ready when preorders open
- Use "Get Ready" from October 12. In the Apple Store app you can pick the color, storage, carrier and accessories, add a payment method and an address ahead of time, so the order takes one tap on Friday.
- Choose the size before the day. US prices are $1,999 (256GB), $2,199 (512GB), $2,599 (1TB) and $3,199 (2TB).
- Be early. Supply is expected to be tight: MacRumors cites reports of production problems and says preorders could sell out within minutes. Later orders may arrive after October 23.
- Check your carrier supports eSIM. iPhone Duo has no physical SIM slot, according to Apple's spec page.
