Wear It Pink day 2026 is on Friday 23 October. It is the yearly fundraiser of Breast Cancer Now, the UK's leading breast cancer charity: schools, workplaces and friends wear something pink and give a donation. You can also hold your event on another day if that suits you better (Breast Cancer Now).

How it works

  1. Sign up on the Wear It Pink page to get a free fundraising pack with posters and games to print.
  2. Set up a JustGiving page so people can donate online.
  3. Wear pink on the day, at school, in the office, at the gym, wherever you are.
  4. Pay in the money online afterwards. UK taxpayers can add Gift Aid, which gives the charity an extra 25p for every £1.

Why it matters

According to Breast Cancer Now, more than 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK every year, and more than 61,000 are living with secondary breast cancer, which has spread to other parts of the body. The money raised funds research and support. The charity's goal is that by 2050, everyone with breast cancer will live, and live well.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Wear It Pink falls in Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which runs from 1 to 31 October 2026. Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day, for cancer that has spread, is on 13 October (Breast Cancer Now). The charity also uses the month to encourage people to check their breasts regularly and know the signs; its website explains what to look for.
