UCAS 15 October deadline 2026: the time in your country
Applications for 2027 entry to any course at Oxford or Cambridge, and to most courses in medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine or science, must reach UCAS by 18:00 UK time on Thursday 15 October 2026 to be sure of equal consideration (UCAS).
The UK is still on summer time that day, so the deadline is 17:00 UTC.

Applying through a school? Your real deadline is earlier
If you apply through a school or college, it has to check your application and add your reference and predicted grades before sending it to UCAS. Most schools set their own internal deadline days or weeks before 15 October, so ask yours today.
Rules to remember
- Five choices in total. You can add choices with the later January deadline after sending, as long as you stay within five.
- Oxford or Cambridge, not both, in the same year, apart from a few exceptions such as organ scholarships.
- Medicine, dentistry and veterinary courses: no more than four of your five choices.
Admissions tests and other dates
- ESAT, TMUA and TARA, the UAT-UK tests now used by Oxford, Cambridge and others for many courses, are sat from 12 to 16 October 2026. Booking closed on 28 September, and results come out on 16 November.
- Cambridge applicants also complete the My Cambridge Application form by 22 October 2026.
- Interviews for Oxford and Cambridge take place mainly in December.

For almost every other undergraduate course, the equal-consideration deadline for 2027 entry is 18:00 UK time on Wednesday 13 January 2027 (UCAS). That day the UK is on winter time, so it is 18:00 UTC.
