Reuters-based reports say Jio Platforms, the digital arm of Reliance Industries, will open its IPO on Wednesday, October 21 and list on Wednesday, October 28; as of October 12 the company had not published a price band, a lot size or an official timetable. The latest reports, from October 9, put the price band at ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 per share, after earlier reports of ₹1,150 to ₹1,220. None of these figures is official. What is confirmed comes from the draft prospectus filed on June 19, and this page marks every item as confirmed, reported or not announced.

Who can bid, and how much is reserved

All of this is from the issue structure in the draft prospectus.

How to apply

  1. You need a demat account, a PAN and a bank account. For a UPI bid, use your own UPI ID with a bank on SEBI’s list: bids made with someone else’s UPI ID or bank account are not considered for allotment (SEBI investor site).
  2. Once bidding opens, place the bid in your broker’s or bank’s app: the number of lots and the price.
  3. Approve the UPI request in your UPI app in time. UPI approvals end at 5:00 pm IST on the closing day, but the bidding cut-off depends on the channel: 5:00 pm IST in your broker’s online 3-in-1 account, 4:00 pm IST by net banking, mobile banking or a syndicate UPI bid up to ₹5,00,000, and 3:00 pm IST for non-retail bids made through the syndicate. Paper forms close earlier (draft prospectus). The money is blocked in your account, not paid, until shares are allotted.
  4. UPI can be used for bids up to ₹5,00,000. A bid between ₹2,00,000 and ₹5,00,000 counts as non-institutional (SEBI FAQ).
  5. After allotment, your bank unblocks the money if you got no shares. You can check the result with the registrar, KFin Technologies; we will add the link once allotment is final.

Apply only from your own bank or broker app, and do not trust “apply here” links forwarded in chat groups.
