Canada benefit payment dates: CCB, CPP and OAS in October 2026
The next Canada child benefit (CCB) payment is on Tuesday 20 October 2026. CPP and OAS payments, including the Guaranteed Income Supplement, go out on Wednesday 28 October. All dates on this page come from the Government of Canada's Benefits payment dates page.

CPP covers the retirement pension and disability, children's and survivor benefits. OAS covers the OAS pension, the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS), the Allowance and the Allowance for the Survivor.
Benefits paid every three months
- Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit, the new name of the GST/HST credit: paid on 3 July and 5 October 2026. Under its old name it was paid on 5 January and 2 April 2026.
- Advanced Canada workers benefit (ACWB): 12 January, 10 July and 9 October 2026.
- Alberta child and family benefit: 27 February, 27 May, 27 August and 27 November 2026.
If your payment has not arrived
The government issues payments on the dates above, but they can take a few days to reach you, and cheques in the mail take longer than direct deposit. Canada.ca asks you to wait 5 to 10 business days before you contact the program. To avoid mail delays, you can sign up for direct deposit or change your bank details through the links on the same Canada.ca page.
Why CPP and OAS come near the end of the month
CPP and OAS are paid once a month, late in the month: in 2026 the dates were 28 January, 25 February, 27 March, 28 April, 27 May, 26 June, 29 July, 27 August and 25 September, then 28 October, 26 November and 22 December. December's payment comes earlier in the month. The CCB is usually paid around the 20th, and in December it comes earlier, on the 11th.
