Pokémon GO Zorua Community Day: time, bonuses and tips
October's Pokémon GO Community Day is on Saturday 10 October 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time, wherever you play. The featured Pokémon is Zorua, the Tricky Fox Pokémon, and the event's exclusive move goes to its evolution, Zoroark (official announcement).
The key facts
- Main event: 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time. Zorua appears far more often in the wild.
- Lure bonus: 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Regular Lure Modules give Zorua a very high chance of appearing at PokéStops.
- Exclusive move: evolve Zorua into Zoroark by 9:00 p.m. to get the Fast Attack Sucker Punch. Evolving costs 50 Zorua Candy.
- Shiny: Shiny Zorua has a higher chance during the event. Zorua can also have the 2026 Special Background.
How to find Zorua: it looks like your buddy
Zorua does not show up as itself. On the map it takes the look of your current Buddy Pokémon, and the disguise holds through the whole catch screen. Only after the ball clicks shut does it turn back into Zorua (Pokémon GO Hub).
So set a buddy that never spawns in the wild before 2 p.m. Then every copy of it on the map is a Zorua. Good choices:
- a Shiny or Shadow Pokémon
- a Legendary or Mythical Pokémon
- a Pokémon in a rare costume
- a big Pokémon that is easy to spot and tap
All the bonuses
- 3× XP and 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance of Candy XL for Trainers at level 31 and up.
- Incense lasts 3 hours (not the free Daily Adventure Incense).
- Lure Modules last 1 hour, until 9:00 p.m.
- One extra Special Trade, for a maximum of two that day, and trades cost 50% less Stardust, until 9:00 p.m.
- Take a few AR snapshots during the event for a Zorua photobomb.
Is Zoroark with Sucker Punch worth it?
Sucker Punch is a Dark-type fast attack with 8 power in Trainer Battles and 5 in gyms and raids (Leek Duck). Zoroark cannot learn it outside the event window, so evolving at least one good Zorua before 9 p.m. is the safe choice. With the 2× Candy bonus, the 50 Candy comes quickly.

- Special Research, US$1.99 or your local price tier: three Zorua encounters with the Special Background, more Zorua encounters, a Premium Battle Pass and a Rare Candy XL. You can gift a ticket to a friend who is at Great Friends or higher.

Free Field Research during the event also gives Zorua encounters, Stardust and Ultra Balls.
Before Saturday
- Swap to a buddy that stands out, and stock up on Poké Balls and Lure Modules.
- Save a Lucky Egg or Star Piece for the busiest hour.
- Find a meetup on the in-game event map. Checking in at a Community Ambassador event gives extra Timed Research with Zorua encounters.
- Set a reminder to evolve before 9 p.m.
