Play the demo first: your save carries over
A free demo covering the opening and the whole first chapter, about 3 to 5 hours, is out on PS5, Switch 2, Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Xbox on PC, and the save carries over to the full game (Square Enix).
What the game is
Resonance is the first Final Fantasy made in the HD-2D style, with pixel-art characters in 3D scenery. It retells and rebuilds the first story arc of the mobile game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, following Rain and Lasswell, knights of the Kingdom of Grandshelt (Square Enix). Battles are turn-based, and you can call on "Visions" of classic Final Fantasy characters. Square Enix has shown that Sephiroth appears as an optional opponent you can find and challenge for a special reward (PlayStation Blog).
PC requirements
