Malaysia had not announced a payment date for Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) Phase 4 as of Oct. 8, 2026. The newest payment notice on the official STR portal, run by the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN, branded HASiL), is still the one for Phase 3, which began on Aug. 15.

Two things are already official. The LHDN's payment FAQ lists the Phase 4 rate for every category, from RM100 to RM500 for households that receive a payment and RM150 for single seniors (table below). And the portal says STR 2027 applications open online on Oct. 15. Budget 2027 is tabled on Friday, Oct. 9, and this page will be updated if a date is announced; see our Budget 2027 page for the time and how to watch.

How to check your STR status

  1. Go to bantuantunai.hasil.gov.my, the only official STR portal.
  2. Choose Log Masuk MySTR, enter your MyKad number, confirm the security keyword and enter your password.
  3. Click Semakan Status. It shows your application status and any payment details.

The status can read Diterima (received), Dalam Proses (in process), Lulus (approved) or Tidak Lulus (not approved), the LHDN's status FAQ says (in Malay). You can also call the toll-free line 1-800-88-2747 (9 am to 5 pm) or visit your nearest HASiL office.

If you have no bank account

Recipients with a bank account are paid by direct credit, in stages. Recipients without one collect cash at a Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) branch, and cash claims can only be made on BSN working days in each state, the payment FAQ says.

The portal's notice gives only these dates and does not say what the 2027 rules are.

Beware of STR scams

Dates and amounts are from the LHDN's STR portal and Finance Ministry press releases, checked on Oct. 8, 2026. SARA is a separate monthly credit on the MyKad; see sara.gov.my.
