The theme of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 is "Probity for Prosperity" (सत्यनिष्ठा से समृद्धि), and the week runs from Monday 26 October to Sunday 1 November 2026. The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) announced it in a circular dated 18 September 2026. The week opens with the integrity pledge at 11 am on 26 October (CVC circular, reproduced by StaffNews).

Who takes part

The circular asks public servants in central ministries and departments, Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), public sector banks and all other organisations to take the integrity pledge at 11 am on 26 October, then hold activities on the theme through the week. Institutions such as IIFT have published their own notices with the same dates and theme (IIFT notice).

The integrity pledge for citizens

This is the text in Annexure A of the circular. Anyone can also take it online as an e-pledge on the CVC's website, cvc.gov.in.

I believe that corruption has been one of the major obstacles to economic, political and social progress of our country. I believe that all stakeholders such as Government, citizens and private sector need to work together to eradicate corruption.

I realize that every citizen should be vigilant and commit to highest standards of honesty and integrity at all times and support the fight against corruption.

I, therefore, pledge:

  • To follow probity and rule of law in all walks of life;
  • To neither take nor offer bribe;
  • To perform all tasks in an honest and transparent manner;
  • To act in public interest;
  • To lead by example exhibiting integrity in personal behaviour;
  • To report any incident of corruption to the appropriate agency.

Annexure B of the circular has a separate pledge for organisations, which commits them to ethical business practices, to neither offer nor accept bribes, and to good corporate governance.

Activities the CVC suggests

Organisations can send selected photos and media clips to the Commission and must report on the week by 30 November 2026, in the format in Annexure D.
