Nigeria’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) says the 2025 Batch C corps members pass out of national service on Thursday, October 29, 2026, and that the 2026 Batch C Stream II orientation course opens on Wednesday, November 4, in all 36 states and the FCT.

Registration at the Stream II camps runs from November 4 to midnight on Friday, November 6. The swearing-in is on Friday, November 6, and the course closes on Tuesday, November 24. The dates come from NYSC statements signed by its Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, as reported by ThisDay, VON and TVC News. NYSC’s own website has not caught up: when we checked on October 17, its mobilisation timetable page still showed the 2026 Batch A Stream II schedule.

Travel safety

On September 15 NYSC’s Director-General, Brigadier-General Olakunle Nafiu, told prospective corps members to avoid night travel and to board vehicles at designated motor parks (TVC News). On October 7, twenty prospective corps members who had been abducted while travelling from Ibadan to a camp in the South-East were released (TVC News). Visiting the Cross River camp, he repeated the advice: stop travelling if it is nearing 6 p.m., do not sleep in public places or in large groups at filling stations, and go to a military, police or DSS facility if you need safety (TVC News).
