The HSC and equivalent exam results 2026 are expected between 25 and 29 October. The boards have proposed that window to the Ministry of Education, and the exact day will be announced once the ministry approves it, Dhaka Board chairman Prof Syed Akhtaruzzaman told bdnews24.com on 12 October. Until then, treat any single date on social media with caution.

Why the date moved to late October

This year's HSC and equivalent exams ran from 2 July to 8 August under a unified question paper across the nine general boards plus the Technical and Madrasah boards, and bad weather postponed papers in several districts (bdnews24.com). Chattogram Board finished last, on 9 September, after floods, and results are published for all boards on the same day (Teachers Portal).

How to check the HSC result 2026 by SMS

Type HSC, a space, your board's three-letter code, a space, your roll number, a space and 2026, then send it to 16222. Example for a Dhaka Board student with roll 123456: HSC DHA 123456 2026. It works from Teletalk, Grameenphone, Banglalink and Robi numbers, with a standard SMS charge (Teachers Portal).

How to check online

  1. Go to educationboardresults.gov.bd (or eboardresults.com, which also gives the subject-wise marksheet and institution results by EIIN).
  2. Choose HSC/Alim/Equivalent, the year 2026 and your board.
  3. Enter your roll and registration numbers exactly as on your admit card, fill in the captcha and submit.

If the site is slow on result day, wait a minute rather than refreshing again and again, or use the SMS method. Only enter your roll and registration numbers on the official portals; fake "result" sites collect student data (Teachers Portal).

After the result: re-scrutiny

Applications for re-scrutiny (board challenge) usually open within about two days of the results, online or by SMS starting with RSC, with a fee per paper. The fees and last date are announced in a separate notice on result day, so follow that notice rather than last year's (Teachers Portal).
